6 people hospitalized after wrong-way crash in northwest Harris County, sheriff says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Six people were hospitalized after a wrong-way crash in northwest Harris County on Thursday evening, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call for a service regarding a driver reportedly traveling the wrong way near Mueschke Road and FM-2920. Upon arrival, deputies say a brief chase ensued with the suspect vehicle.

Authorities say that the suspect vehicle crashed, hitting approximately six vehicles.

The six people were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, the suspect was taken to a hospital, according to law enforcement.

Deputies say there were no injuries to any deputies in the crash.

FM-2920 is shut down due to an ongoing crash investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
